Traditional salon appointments often start with the desired result. Mbëkkeel starts with the condition of the scalp receiving it. Every treatment includes the proprietary SZA-12™ scalp mapping and assessment framework, helping identify risk factors, evaluate different scalp zones, and guide decisions around tension, technique, and suitable styling options.

The goal is not to remove beauty from the conversation, but to make sure beauty does not race ahead while the follicle absorbs the consequences.

Our Booking Policies

  • Deposit Policy

    Deposits are 20% of the total cost of all of your service. All services for the Premium Braiders come with a complimentary shampoo/condition from our staff. All deposits are NON-REFUNDABLE but can be transferred to another service on a new appointment. After 2 no-call/ no-shows you will be required to pay in full for your service. After your service is complete the balance is due with card, cash app, or cash.

  • Booking Confirmations

    You may book an appointment online, call in, or walk in. ( 334-431-5071) Once your deposit is paid and you are confirmed with a braider; you will receive a confirmation email/or text to let you know that you have been assigned to our braider. If we are fully booked you will be assigned to the wait list and called by our receptionist to get you scheduled. You are not booked until you have been confirmed. Your card will not be billed until you are confirmed.

  • Guest Policy

    Please avoid bringing any extra guests unless agreed upon by management. Children being serviced are always welcome; however for safety reasons we can not watch, monitor, or seat children who are not being serviced.

  • Late Fee

    There is a 15 minute courtesy grace period for all appointments. After 15 minutes there is a $15 late fee up to 25 minutes. After 25 minutes your appointment will have to be rescheduled and your deposit moved to another time slot to be confirmed.

  • Early Morning Appointments

    Early morning appointments are an additional $50 and they begin at 6am. Call into the front desk to request this service. We will let you know if your braider is available to accommodate your request.
